A unique evening celebrating art, community and shared heritage in the heart of Castelbuono — bringing together international contemporary art, local history and community voices in two of the town's most evocative spaces.
The evening begins at 17:30 at the Ex Scuderie of the Museo Civico with a guided visit to the temporary exhibition Heaven+Earth — a spectacular multimedia installation by American artists John Sanborn and Ionee Waterhouse, which combines digital scans of the extraordinary zoomorphic and phytomorphic stucco figures of the Palatine Chapel of Sant'Anna in the Ventimiglia Castle (1684) — works of masters Giacomo and Giuseppe Serpotta — superimposed onto the faces of Castelbuono residents, regenerated with AI and projected onto the museum architecture alongside a quadraphonic sound composition by Andrea Ludovic.
The exhibition is curated by Laura Barreca, Director of the Museo Civico di Castelbuono, and supported by the PAC2025 — Piano per l'Arte Contemporanea, promoted by the Directorate General for Contemporary Creativity of the Italian Ministry of Culture — one of Italy's most prestigious contemporary art funding programmes.
At 20:00, the evening moves to the Piazzale della Santa Croce for a public meeting with Angelo Cucco, A Nova Orquestar and ProLoco Castelbuono, followed by the screening of the short documentary film:
"Echi Magici. Ricerca di tracce di un mondo scomparso"

directed by Piero Tumminello, curated by Maria Rosa Sossai, Head of Participatory Projects at the Museo Civico di Castelbuono.
