What does it mean to tell your own story in the age of artificial intelligence? The Museo Civico di Castelbuono invites young people aged 8-18 to explore exactly that question in this extraordinary four-session educational workshop — part of the internationally acclaimed Heaven+Earth project by American artists John Sanborn and Ionee Waterhouse.
Autonarrazioni nell'epoca dell'intelligenza artificiale (Self-narratives in the age of artificial intelligence) is a creative writing and visual experimentation laboratory curated by Stefania Cordone, Head of Education at the Museo Civico di Castelbuono. Participants will explore the relationship between identity and digital technology, guided through a journey of creative collage, imaginative writing and narrative exercises — ultimately constructing a personal self-portrait through the conscious, creative use of AI.
The goal is not a purely descriptive portrait, but something symbolic, evocative and layered — one that culminates in a structured prompt: a contemporary form of writing that enters into genuine dialogue with artificial intelligence. The workshop aims to give young people tools to understand AI languages, develop narrative skills, and stimulate critical reflection on how identity is constructed in the digital environment — placing the human creative act firmly at the centre.
