As autumn arrives in the Madonie mountains, Castelbuono celebrates its famous Funghi Fest — 23-25 October 2026. Three days of wild mushroom tastings, show cooking, forest excursions, music and traditional Sicilian food. Free to attend.

🏃🏾 Giro Podistico Internazionale di Castelbuono — 100th Edition
On 26th July 2026, Castelbuono hosts the 100th edition of the Giro Podistico Internazionale — one of Europe's oldest road races, first run in 1912 and recognised by World Athletics as a historic landmark of the sport. A landmark centenary celebration not to be missed.

On 21st June 2026 — the summer solstice — Castelbuono celebrates the Festa della Musica with the Banda Loreto Perrini and Kids & Juniors Music Band. A festive musical procession through the medieval streets, culminating in Piazza Margherita. Free admission.

A special memorial tennis tournament in honour of Vincenzo Cicero takes place today at the Tennis Club Castelbuono - sport, community spirit and the specialities of Monkey restaurant coming together in his memory. 15th June 2026.
