Vincenzo Cicero was, by all accounts, a man pieno di luce — full of light. A passionate tennis lover whose infectious enthusiasm for the game touched everyone around him, Vincenzo passed away doing what he loved most — on the tennis court itself. Today, the Tennis Club Castelbuono honours his memory with a tournament that celebrates not just a player, but a spirit.

The tournament takes place at the club's courts in the beautiful Contrada Sant'Ippolito, just outside the medieval centre of Castelbuono. In true Castelbuono spirit, the evening extends beyond the court — guests are invited to enjoy the specialities of Monkey, Roberto Mitra's much-loved local eatery, as the sun goes down over the Madonie mountains.

The Tennis Club Castelbuono is run by Roberto Mitra, a qualified national tennis coach (Istruttore Nazionale AIFS), who also runs the club's popular Tennis Camp Summer 2026 — welcoming children, young people and junior athletes throughout the summer season. For information: 329 448 1777.
