Castelbuono adds another extraordinary dimension to its already remarkable summer festival calendar — four days of world-class classical music in the heart of the Madonie mountains.
Castelbuono Classica brings together internationally acclaimed soloists, chamber ensembles and a full symphony orchestra for four evenings of concerts across three stunning locations in the medieval town. Piazza Castello — already famous as the home of Ypsigrock — transforms into an open-air classical concert hall under the Sicilian summer sky.
Previous editions have featured artists of the calibre of Gilda Buttà — pianist of choice for composers Ennio Morricone and Luis Bacalov — alongside leading figures from La Scala Milan and internationally celebrated soloists. Free afternoon concerts showcase emerging Sicilian musical talent alongside the main evening programme.
The festival is organised by Moger Arte e Cultura and combines musical excellence with contemporary art exhibitions and a warm, intimate atmosphere unique to Castelbuono.
The full 2026 programme will be announced shortly. Follow @castelbuonoclassica for updates, or visit castelbuonoclassica.it
